Le Coq Sportiff Retro Shoes
I always loved the retro shoes thou they are quite difficult to match an outfit. But when you do, you can only look great. Harmonizing your clothing is not a big deal with a bit of taste. I admit, it can be expensive especially when you’re in a hurry. But it’s worth it for you’ll probably be the only one, or one of the few dressed in a retro style. And this matters when you attend an exclusive party or event.
And I always loved this brand, I felt touched by Le Coq Sportif since I first received a T-shirt as a gift, about 20 years ago. It has something unique in the way they designed their logo, or the attitude they transmit through their visual, it has something special, at least for me. On the other hand, feeling it close doesn’t necessary mean I wear only Le Coq Sportif. Not at all. But it feels nice to buy, from time to time, some things that fit your heart, not only your body.
For those who don’t know, the company was founded more than a century ago, in 1882, by Émile Camuset in the commune Romilly-sur-Seine in the Aube department in Northern France. In Romilly-sur-Seine Émile Camuset had a hosiery workshop. But it wasn’t until 1948 the first clothing items were branded with the well known rooster. The brand visibility increased a lot starting 1930 when the company began sponsoring of the French football, rugby and athletics federations. While worldwide reputation was build due to its presence in some of the most legendary sporting events: Tour de France, FIFA World Cup, 5 Nations Tournament in rugby and French Open.
Who knows? Maybe I was one of those cyclists in the Tour de France more than 100 years ago, of course, in my past life, since I got so attached to this brand with so much personality.
